Participatory energy in Lebanon: ME Green at Beirut Energy Week 2026

ME Green CEO Philippe El Khoury took part in the panel “Participatory Energy in Lebanon: Towards a More Cooperative and Equitable Electricity Sector” at Beirut Energy Week 2026, organized by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies – Beirut with the Ebla Research Collective.

The conversation on cooperative and community-based energy models closely matches our work with ME Grid: decentralized, reliable and financially sustainable energy for communities, while reducing dependence on polluting and expensive generators.

The session also launched the research paper “Towards Participatory Energy in Lebanon: Global Models for Local Insights into the Electricity Sector.”
